TALENTED HIP-HOP NEWCOMERS TO TAKE
THE STAGE AT RHYME NIGHT HIP-HOP TALENT
SHOWCASE IN HOLLYWOOD

Xzibit’s Open Bar Entertainment and Contrabandit.com join forces
to bring Los Angeles’ hip-hop lyricists to music industry’s attention.

HOLLYWOOD, CA – Tonight multi-platinum hip-hop star Xzibit will host
the kick off celebration for Rhyme Night at Hollywood’s Club Sixteen-
Fifty. This groundbreaking event will be a once monthly hip-hop
talent showcase that will act as a launching pad and a proving ground
for the best signed and unsigned hip-hop talent throughout the West
Coast. Rhyme Night will provide hip-hop enthusiasts a place to vibe in
the essence of the culture. More importantly, it will offer aspiring
hip-hop artists the opportunity to perform in front of industry power
players and hip-hop heads in the heart of Hollywood, the world’s
epicenter of entertainment.

Last Wednesday, over 500 aspiring hip-hop artists from across the
country flocked to Sixteen-Fifty to audition in front of hip-hop
journalist Ryan Ford, producer DJ Khalil and Xzibit. The judging panel
selected five MCs to take the stage and showcase their skills in front
of hip-hop heads, radio personalities, label scouts and big name MCs
at the tonight’s first ever Rhyme Night. Watts’ Blackfoot, Rialto’s
Dia-monique, San Bernardino’s Dirty Birdy, LA’s Madam Brown and South
Central’s Trensetta (a recent selection to The Source’s exclusive
Unsigned Hype column) are the hungry MCs ready to rock the mic at
Rhyme Night.

Xzibit’s Open Bar Entertainment and Contrabandit.com will act of host
sponsors of this exciting event. In addition, Xzibit will act as host
MC as well as debut his Strong Arm Steady crew, well known lyricists
Krondon, Phil The Agony and Mitchy Slick who will close the night’s
festivities.

Hollywood’s Sixteen-Fifty will host the official Rhyme Night kick-off
celebration tonight, Wednesday May 28th, from 9:00pm – 2:00am. Sixteen-
Fifty is located at 1650 Schrader Blvd. in Hollywood, CA on the corner
of Hollywood Blvd. & Schrader Blvd.

Xzibit, co-founder and host of Rhyme Night stated, “This event will
give Southern California hip-hop heads a place to call their own. I
know the struggle of getting put on in the rap game. Now, with Rhyme
Night I intend to give back to the community that has supported my
career and contributed to my success.”
