Acid Pro, works good if you use it like a sampler/drum machine (with your own samples).
I've worked in studios before, and it's easier. The only thing is you have to have a good sound card, and mic to rival studio quality.

i've used a variety of methods. the best thing to start with is fruity, i dont know bout tha new studio one but it's ok, after that u might wanna upgrade to something like Cubase SX, its good for MIDI and if ur using it as VST host. It also works very well for sound editing.

acid pro is one of the best audio programs out. u do something with cool edit or fruity loops and i can do it 5 times better with Acid. it's also an extremely powerful tool when used with VSTi. Sound Forge is also an excellent companion for it. Knock it if you want but any real audiophile will tell you that Sonic Foundry makes some of the best software around.

thats the problem. u cant just use it once or twice. its professional software. u gotta learn it. like photoshop. if u just try to use it ull be like "wtf am i doing?? this shit gets on my nerves." but once u learn it u can do anything with it. and trust me if u cant use acid theres no way ur usin cubase. i have both. acid is more user friendly. well i dont really care. im just tryin to help u out. just wutever u do, dont use fruity loops.
