Try old jazz and soul songs, some classical stuff make good beats if you use them right, but they are very difficult. Dre is one of the only producers I've heard use them right. But old soul and jazz songs are best too sample, plus they give you a hiphop feel to it.

I'm not sure if you was talkin about beats or who to sample on rb, so i'll just answer both. Beats, definately somethin with slow and strong bass for a slow track, and for a fast or medium paced track, i'd use somethin new with fast snares and drums with a use of pracussion instuments. But for samples in audio, which you might already know of is spliviticus, sk!llz, & i mind theory's ok.

As for sampling the best stuff to sample is old stuff. Soul music form tha seventies. Classical is good to. Hell even techno is good. It all depends on tha sound u want. Hell if u can get a good sample of some rock stuff go for it

You can sample from anything. I got a lot of samples of wiccan music, native american music, animal sounds, west african tribal recordings, various mid east and far east instruments.
