Why? is God drunk?

IP: E31C 355F

Why?

Why when God created man, did he give us a mind full of hatred,
Full of disrespect for our own kind? Why, if he could have made us perfect?
Why when we were moulded, were we equipped with the power to kill?
The power to bring down the rest of the world, destroy it all in one fell swoop?
Why on the day of our creation, were we able to cry and to feel pain?
And why were we able to give pain to others? Was God really thinking ahead?
Look at our world now....racism, war and sexual assualt,
Is all you hear of, in the papers, on the news.
You turn on CNN and all you see is another brothers died from abuse.
If heaven is supposed to be perfect, what about the phrase 'heaven on earth'?
Why did God let that man rape my best friend? is it punishment, for all the bad things she did?
Or was it because she'd never been to church? Never prayed?
Why does God let things turn out that way?
Why on September 11th, did Bin Laden survive when the innocent died?
Why do these things happen, is it a sign?

Does God want us to change our ways,
Learn to fashion a life without discrimination?
But that is too hard, and it will never happen....
At Least....

not in my generation.

But Why?

We were indeed given free will..It is the individuals choice to commit a crime ie rape murder etc. We were given the choice between right and wrong, greed and humility. Don't we fight for our own personal freedoms everyday?
And when that day is done, I believe it is written that we will face 'tests' on Earth. We must prove ourselves to be worthy. I guess the question is, is who must we prove ourselves to? God? Or our own morality. I take the latter anyday.
As for Heaven on Earth, well Im sure different people have their own ideas of what 'Heaven' will be.

Personally, I am not a believe in God. However, I have studied somewhat on the subject, and if you want to know the answers to these questions, then maybe you should also be asking, Why did we forsake his only son and allow him to be crucified on the cross? If I believed in the scriptures, I would also have to take responsibility for having let Him down.... Lets face it, and Im one of them, people turn their backs on God everyday.

We are given the tools, it is up to us on how we use them.
Was a nice piece Liba, heartfelt..its always good to question

I liked the poem and the concept... I don't know if you've ever heard that song, it's country, the chorus is "But I wasn't there the day you hung the stars in the sky" It's basically the same concept, he was wondering why all this stuff could happen but then he realizes that he isn't supposed to be doubting the Lord. It's not that He thinks anyone should be punished, or that he gives these things out as punishment. I think it's like they explained it in that movie with the stripper angel it only carries you so far and then you make certain decisions, just as other people choose to do as well. I think God puts certain forks in your road but essentially it's up to you to take the right one. It's like saying God forces every motion and action we take, that he's got every single second mapped out in our lives and I disagree with that. Asking how he could let something happen could be another thing, but he wasn't the driving force behind that action that another person chose. Maybe that could be something that turns her life around... I don't know but I do know that we should thank god for the things that he has given us, pray for the guidance to make the right decisions to recieve the things we want, and pray for forgiveness for the sins we've commited. My veiws, sorry if you dfon't agree peace

i liked the piece it was very unconventional, content was good
but i think the flow of the piece kinda changed when you gave
specific events, because in the begining it was just speaking of
the bad things in life in general. Keep writing.

The lord gave us free will, because he loved us so much he didnt
want us to be like the angels, they can not make choices. He gave
us a gift that is greater than anything ever before. You are only
focusing on the bad side of it. With free will you can make the
choice to do good or bad. Since it is so easy to do bad so many
do that instead of trying to be good they do not realize all the
benefits of doing good things when they need something.
All of that Bin Ladin stuff has meaning also.
Those people are fighting for their own country and religion.
The same as ourselves it is a fight to preserve themselves. We all do the same, not meaning that it the thing to
do but in all reality we all do the same just not at that extreme.
We can not truly appreciate what we have been given until we
experience the down side as well. I would like to read a poem to
parallel this one, if you would write one.
