On The Corner Of 106 & Park With Young Turk

IP:

Former Cash Money member Turk checked in with BET.com recently and took out some time to answer our "On The Corner Of 106 & Park" questions. Take a look at what Young Turk had to say. Turk's new solo album, Raw & Uncut is hits stores later this month.Advertisement

What's your favorite posession?

My favorite possession is my son. I cherish him and every moment I have with him is a favorite moment. Just to hear him call me daddy is a sacred moment. Just to see him walk and play with him, I cherish that.

Love or success?

Love. That comes before success. Love is something you can't be successful without. You have to love the rap game to be successful in it. You have to work to be successful and you're not going to work if you're not happy. I love this rap game so I'm going to be happy and the success is going to fall into place.

What do you wish you could get rid of, but you can't?

This addiction. I have a drug addiction. I'm always going to be an addict but I'm a recovering addict and I can't get rid of that. I can get rid of me using the drugs but as far as me being a recovering addict, I can't get rid of that. I can just take it one day at a time and hope that I don't slip up. As far as me living that life, it's over but I'm always going to have that title.

What's your favorite meal that your mama used to cook for you?

Chicken, fried chicken and macaroni. That's the easy project, ghetto meal.

When you were 5, what did you want to do when you grew up?

A football player. That's every black kid's dream; to be a football or basketball player. It turned out that God had something else planned for me and this is what I am today. I love doing what I do. I love to rap and I wouldn't give it up for anything but my son. That's it. Not even my momma. I'd give it up for my son and that's it.
