The Last Mile by TR

My first influence was well used to this, I watch him from afar
His smooth finesse with words is like quick fingers on a guitar
Never understood how two words could be rhymed as such
I tried my luck, purchased a mic, prewritten was my crutch
I new it was time for my to start jumping my lyrical hurdle
Stepped up to a cypher, I was flowed around like a circle
They told me I had potential, and to calm down when I spit
They all had rap credentials, now my flow had changed a bit
I was so caught up I didn’t ever leave the studio in my home
I spit at all hours of the night, used my cell as a micro phone
In my hunger I even bit off net raps, still hate all my verses
My battles were like set traps, always came out word less
Friday night I went to battle, my mind was ready to manhandle
My enemy was basic, crowds eyes made me start to strangle
Try my hardest and all I do is look like a heavy breather
Why’d this happen to me, why’d I catch this 8 Mile fever

liked the topic it was quite original, and you kept to it well, thought you had good flow goin thru the piece, could have been a bit stronger with the multis, but on the whole a good peice, looks like you out thought into it............peace! ...keep droppin

yeah i agree this was a good piece with a nice topic...your flow was real good, didnt get off at all really i thought...vocab was good as usual...your structure was well down....i thought your multies were fine overall maybe add a few more but it was still good though...you kept on topic in this through out the whole verse which made it a good read...overall this was a good piece, it made a good read...keep at it and keep dropping.
