Intro

Whack week. A lot of no-shows and in the end only 4 battles went ahead. But no-shows aren’t what I like to dwell on as if they no-show then fuck them. They’ll get the 0-1 record if they wanna sign in again which is annoying as fuck for some battlers. We had some cool battles go down though, Daubs vs Mimesis was the best followed by SpuL vs Nick Fletcher. Some hot battles set up this week, SpuL vs Mimesis! Jay Cee vs N.Tavarez! Ohhhh this shit is hotting up boy. I dunno whether or not to have the PPV the week after this though, cos the people who’d be down to battle in the PPV are going to be in the champ match. I’ll sort it out later, ain’t got many prospective battles either, it may have to wait till next month or something unless we get some good battles down. On to the weeks reviews!

Double no-show.

Danjure S. Writer (0-0) vs GLD (0-0) vs Makaveli Trained (0-0)

GLD and Makaveli no-showed, Danjure won.

Daubs (1-0) vs Mimesis (1-0)

This was a hot battle, battle of the week no doubt. Daubs opener was dope stuff, nice cliché mixed in with a hard hitting personal. As Mimesis is called Austin, the Austin Powers bar coulda been flipped so much better, PLL bar was aight, bulletin bar is something I’ve used before but he flipped it better than me so decent bar. Mimesis opener was dope, worded perfect so it hit nicely, yeah it was feeding but it didn’t matter due to the votes Mim got anyway. Drop some shit bar is played, lmao at exclusive bar, graphic bar was decent, reputation bar was decent. Mimesis basically killed this and won like 9-0. Verse of the week no doubt, I’ve got him as the first champ.

E.C (1-0) vs N.Tavarez (1-0)

E.C no-showed, N.Tavarez won.

Faded Ink (0-1) vs Serbness (0-1)

This battle was weird, Faded dropped a no-show verse but I’d already said Serbness could post late cos he’s pacific or some shit so I let Serbness post. Then realised that Faded said he’d dropped a no-show verse so I gave a win to both.

Jay Cee (1-0) vs Trey MethodZ (1-0)

Trey Methodz bit and is banned, Jay Cee won.

JC Real (0-1) vs Merkowitzzz (0-1)

Pretty awful battle. Merk is obviously still keying in a minute or something but he still got this easy. JC is improving I guess but he didn’t drop anything worth quoting. Merk didn’t vote though so JC Real got the win.

JTR (0-0) vs guerrilla (0-0)

guerrilla no-showed, JTR won.

Rush Lingo (0-1) vs ShoDown (0-1)

ShoDown no-showed, Rush Lingo won.

SPuL (1-0) vs Nick Fletcher (1-0)

I dunno, this battle was a bit of a letdown to me. I was expecting SpuL to drop dope as FUCK but he just dropped decent. I hate the ……’s that he uses in his verses, I think it makes his verses look a bit newbish. I gather that that’s his style though. Nick dropped pretty decent as well. His trademark line was dope, screwed his ass was ok, terrorist threats was funny cos it was so stupid lol. From Spul put this nick away was aight, I didn’t even get that Cane Abel bar, stealin the show was nice and the whin bar was a bit forced but aight. This was a decent battle and in the end Spul won comprehensively.

Predictions

Mimesis (2-0) vs SPuL (2-0)

This should be a hot battle. On momentum Mimesis should take this, but Spul could pull something out and get the win. They’re going 24 so that’ll be room for plenty of dope lines and probably personals aplenty. Spul has beat Mimesis at this site before and he sorta won 2-0 over at RapMusic, but that was in the battle arena. My prediction is Mimesis, he’s been dropping dope as fuck lately.

Jay Cee (2-0) vs N.Tavarez (2-0)

Another dope battle. This is a really close one to call as it could go either way depending on site preference or whatever. I’m gonna stick with who I’ve read more and that’s Jay Cee. So I’m gonna predict Jay Cee but it could go either way.

JTR (1-0) vs Chris Stylez (1-1)

Murder. Chris is aight, but JTR is just a lot better. This’ll be like 10-0 to JTR.

Ambient (1-0) vs Danjure S. Writer (1-0)

Danjure is aight, he dropped quite a bit of played stuff last week though. Ambient is better but as I said I ain’t seen much recent stuff from him so I dunno if he’s lost it or whatever. But Ambient should win.

Rush Lingo (1-1) vs JC Real (1-1)

Another murder. JC’s improving and what not, but Rush is nice. He’s been around for a while as well, had mad aliases and been legendary at other sites. Seems like he’s just starting to get rid of the rust and he’ll win this easy.

Daubs (1-1) vs Serbness (1-1)

Daubs is nice, he had a decent verse last week and can generally drop decent to nice every week. He’ll win this.

Merkowitzzz (0-2) vs Trey Methodz (1-1)

Merk has been keying in a minute lately but not been voting otherwise he could be 2-0 as opposed to 0-2. Merk’s more consistent and creative than Trey but Merk’ll prob have to drop better than he has been as Trey ain’t bad. I got Merk taking this though.

So Rell (1-0) vs Precize (0-0)

I dunno who Precize is, so So Rell to win.

Ancel (0-0) vs Rexless (0-0)

Ancel is pretty nice, he’s Aeschylus at RapBattles and he’s Classic at Rap Exclusive. I dunno who Rexless I so Ancel to win.

.J.Brix. (0-0) vs K.ontroveryz.Y (0-0)

I dunno who either are. Kon’s verse is crazy weird though so him.

Power Rankings

8. So Rell – The first verse he dropped here people wheren’t really feeling, so I dunno how he’ll do in this league. But he’s a good battler and should do fine.

7. Rush Lingo – Just starting to knock the rust off and in a few weeks he could be back to his best. Definitely one to watch.

6. Daubs – He’s nice, there’s not much to say about him except that. He can drop better on some days than on others it seems, but he’s always a threat.

5. JTR – He’s moved down so much as he didn’t have a proper battle last week and he’s got an easy one this week. When he gets the momentum and starts moving up the ranks he’ll be in the title match soon.

4. Jay Cee – Another potential first time champ, he ain’t even been trying in every battle he’s had so far but this week will be an exception as he’s battling a battler of good quality.

3. N.Tavarez – In a battle with Jay Cee this week which could go either way, he’s placed higher than Jay Cee though as he has more momentum with a pretty decent verse last week.

2. SPuL – He didn’t drop all that brilliant last week in my opinion but quite a few voters thought he did. He’s definitely a threat and if he gets past Mimesis this week he could definitely become the first champ.

1. Mimesis – Dropped nice and got verse of the week for two weeks running now. I expect him to be the leagues first champion.

This mag was tedious as fuck to write for some reason, just boring as hell to write. So I hope we get some more talent in the league to make it more competitive, as it is there is the core of nice battlers then the rest are either decent or don’t even come close. There’s some hot battles this week though so it should be good. Keep it up to the people who are consistently showing and dropping nice, without you there’d be no league. Peace.
