Another morning waking and for a second im delusional
With a hazed mind breaking, then im back to my usual
An Incurable insomniac… realising time’s stood still
Blood filled eyes rolling a world… just reaching for pils
Valium, diazepam, a concoction… I might sleep if in ill
And so I fill up with toxins, but still watching, the clock at 4
More pils in an option but I aint got no more…
But the drug store’s open and deprivation’s enslaving my head
Needing fed, with a pounding ache… digressing to death
So I make the excursion instead and set off on a quest
To invest in relief from the stress of this accumulated mess
……in other words to get some fucking rest!


Its nearly five im barely alive… just made it out the door
Cant lock it, my withdrawal knocks my keys to the floor
Cos my hands shake with deprivation… its my last resort
But with a bit of thought, the mortis clicks and it’s done
It’s begun, I turn to run but my legs turn to liquid
With each step more pain is inflicted… but I resist it
Tight fisted, I keep moving, with jus momentum’s stride
Try’na decide, but it’s confusing… my eyes are starting to lie
People bypassing, think im abusing, jus fucked up and high
Muttering under their breath… “if I get like that I hope I die”
What road to take next is it left… right… or straight by?
I jus can’t decide and my sight’s fading into fantasy
Into the realm of insanity…
Thank fuck…I look up and their it is staring back at me!


So I got what I was searching, unwrapping still in the shop
A quick stop… double drop… now it’s in my system
Dissolving to rid my body and my eyelid’s resisting
What’s missing’s returning… my minds easing every step
Another night accomplished… wonder how many ive got left?
This is theft… it’s a third of my life being taken…
I want it back… sick of waiting, jus want my concentration
I want my energy, cos at the minute im seriously debating
…Is there an end…. And do I want to make it!

dope verse. the complexity was ill. there were words i could barely read. lol
the skill in this was easy to distinguish. the topic was at first difficult to pinpoint
but then it came out clearly towards the end. the rhymes were apparent and
the flow was nice. the topic was in a way unique. keep tight. propz

nice. I can never sleep and end up like a wrack through out the day. But i felt this piece Dev. I liked how you potrayed his life from when he wakes up ... than what people see him as and finaly finish it with him summing it all up. well thats the way i saw it anyways. I did lose myself a bit maybe it was a bit too long. But it was a very nice piece living up to your other ones. Good work!

but this was very good overall, the 1st verse set it off nicely &
gave a good image to where ya was leadin w/ the topic
the following verses did stay consistant but I found myself
more intrigued at the beginning! ya dint drop off I jus found it more
Interestin naw mean?!? lol anyways the subject was well rounded w/
the xtensive use of multis & references..gave it new
dimensions.
