a mic....and a recordin program if ur doin it on the comp....it will be very expensive if ur not recodin on the comp.....price range 90-200 dollars....decent mic = 40....program to record and make beats - 50 to 100 dollars....i suggest hip hop ejay....lets u make beats and record....thats what i use....

hahaha... Here's what i did. I already had headphones and a computer. I went to Wal-mart and picked up a cheap ass computer mic for $4.99. I downloaded Cool Edit Pro 2.0 and a crack and thats all I got. Check my battle in my audio (signature) and holla on my sound quality.
If you got a computer already, you're 99.87% of the way there. Just learn the equipment, and how to use it, and get some music, and record.
