The Death of Understanding

IP: 70A9 C9CB

In case you think it's a random assortment of words that don't make sense...the title says it all. It's about breaking up, more or less. So as not to confuse you.

Enjoy...

Can't forget that fateful moment and each day I reflect*
Reverse the road less travelled...one way to regret*
Cost me all of me...wrongly...waiving the debt*
With a soul so broke I didn't pay my respects*
Affection starved, hungry, hollow inside*
Hard to stomach it, deep breath and swallow my pride*
Apalled at the lies...teared up, fallen then dried*
Defying the same rules that knowledge abides*
Laughter takes a strong will, but soon a basketcase*
I can handle the bitter truth...it's just the aftertaste...*
Respectable guises give way to pleasurable violence*
Decibles fall on deaf ears...immeasurable silence*
Elegant eyelids see pain...shiver and ache*
Watch deception breed destruction, wither and fade*
Poor souls weep eternal, the rich are the saved*
Saw Understanding leave swiftly...wish it had stayed*
Prophesies from false prophets, that bullshit's tired*
I love yous from out the mouths of compulsive liars*
Taken with salt, make it dissolve and quickly dismiss*
Emotion's no longer soluable...I simply exist*
A crippling kiss, fatal, a weapon's deceit*
Went out on a limb blindly...is Heaven in reach?*
Spread selfishness? Soaked up and kept it for me*
Defied triumph...sprawled out and wept in defeat*
Sorrowfully read the epitaph on the beautiful stone*
"Here lies our understanding"...our funeral home...*

So it is written...

That was very very very good. My favorite line was "I can handle the bitter truth...it's just the after taste" That would be so live if u performed it!

See, I like this one a lot better. I love structure, flow, and rhyme scheme. You had awesome vocab. Very deep. Very good.

P.S. Look past the post count, for that is the way of the herb.

I apologize. I am just not used to the style in here. I will accomidate my reviews to fit the style. I am new to your poetry. It is very wonderful. Sorry for my previous posts. Your calling me an herb pissed me off; I thought it was because of the post count contrast between me and you. Your poetry is very deep, and I enjoy it. Please excuse my previous actions. I mean no offense.
