because this is the internet and there's "lingo" and "jargon" for everything...somebody back in the day wanted to be different so tey started spelling it "emcee" and then added "femcee" instead of typing out "female emcee"...

basically it's just people trying to be different and only succeeding at being lazy and ridiculously wrong ...

Some people pronounce data differently, no one makes a thread bitching about how you pronounce that.

Why the hell do you hate the term? Because it's announciated out? Can't handle the sound of MC said outloud? Seriously, who fucking cares. It's not going to give you a tumor just because you see a word you blame on ignorance because people say it differently.
