Life Through a Window The life that I see is now fogged from the air that I breath I try to get closer as the glass presses again my hands and cheeks My knees weak at the things I look upon… HE is with her Like a rose drenched in tainted water, my heart and soul suddenly wither I look upon what my life could have been… how did it come to this? I start to reminisce about the days it was you and I… attraction at first sight Made love our first night…blinded by emotion, I was unable to see the truths light It would not and could not last… this was the reality that only I missed You left to go back to him… the end of our beautiful yet short relationship It doesn’t seem so warm inside, your eyes seem cold and distant You think no one is there for you, but I never gave up for an instant To much From my perch outside I can see that you are struggling to be with him Inside you ponder on what we could have been, never forgetting our nights of sin Your eyes water from the invading poison powder that flows through you system No longer a Christian, but now unknowingly a sheep the darkness within With me, it wouldn’t be one of your nightmares, but the pleasant dreams But you are plagued by the dark conceptualities inside that no one can see You’re ripping at the seams; It’s cold out here but its even more so in there To see your life drowned in depression is to much to bear… Touched Again I punch the glass to see that I didn’t even leave a scratch Emotions built up for one more swinging blast… A sudden deafening crash Air rushes thru the room as cold leaves all the surroundings Your depression is drowning… I touch you and my heart is suddenly pounding A gentle kiss and all nervousness suddenly subsides and my heart cries This is the way it is supposed to be… what should have been reality Just me and you; Emotion, God, and the stars are our only witness The moment is filled with blissfulness… but of course, more heart-braking sickness For he comes back, destroy what I know, killing our moment I am again on the outside looking in… Us, never to last, I should have known it
