I know that...I know that before you begin any venture, you should learn as much about it as possible. But, I'm also a believer that sometimes you just have to delve in and take risks.


I can sit back and be a failure doing something I DON'T WANT TO DO. Or, I can take calculated risks and be SUCCESSFUL (or maybe even fail) at something I've dreamed of doing.


I've been through a lot...period...and I've worked for other people for too damn long...That's why I'm in the process of doing a 180 career wise...I'm self-employed for the first time ever in my life...

Some people think it's scary...But, what I think is scarier is people who would rather be slaves than independent...

I remember I had a buddy named AMEEN who made about 25,000 a year =- dismal...working dismal hours and not doing anything about it...At the time, I was making way more than that...decent, but no where NEAR where I wanted to be...Anyway, he had ZERO free time to do anything but go from one minimum wage job to another, barely scraping by. So, one day, he said to me, "Mike, work at this place with me. They pay 6.00 an hour." WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish to GOD in HEAVEN I would give up my afternoons to be a slave...

He was miserable and wanted me to be...So, I no longer associate with people like that...I used to chill wit niggas who played ball and smoked and did nothing but hang on the corner...NEVER AGAIN

I believe you have to surround yourself with people you aspire to be like...So, now, most of my friends/associates are independent, college educated, businessmen...I'm the poorest nigga I KNOW...but it won't be like that for long

I got friends who have homes in multiple STATES...I don't even have a house!


They drive nice cars...I use that as motivation...But, they know my drive and they know that I'm not a negative ass lazy nigga...My time will come...Sure, they are way older than I am...the oldest one being in his 60s...I jus think it's time for black people, ALL PEOPLE to stand up and say, "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH."
