haaa...

I enjoy watching BBALL more than playing it

u know GOlf is my thing

to better myself in that, I watch PROS my game is similar to (or not) to better my technique. I read books and watch videos. But, most of all, I practice and play against people who are better than I am. THe last thing is what'll take your game higher...You can't get good playing against scrubs.

Ive never come across tutorials or shit like that. But I can give you some advice..

Before I stopped playing basketball competetively, I used to always carry around at least a tennis ball, and dribble it... A basketball would be better, but theyre so big. You might think its too hard, or not effective training to use a tennis ball, but it teaches your mind the physiological and physical side of the way the ball moves. If your mind is completely aware of the way a ball will bounce if it is directed at the ground from a particular angle, then your dribbling becomes autonomous.

Practicing constantly with any kind of bouncable ball teaches not only physics and the way IT moves, but also the way you should move. Your brain will get used to moving into the right position to bounce the ball again. The point of doing it with a tennis ball is it is a lot harder (but easier to carry around) than doing it with a basketball, so you get the hand coordination down real well.

At my peak I was able to bounce the tennis ball through my legs, behind my back, with my left hand, from hand to hand.. etc. As a result, I never fumbled the ball in a game.

For your jumpshot, just get your coach to make sure your technique is correct, and then practice. The only tip I can give you is to try and make the angle of the shot a high arc. Low arc balls have higher kinetic energy on impact with the backboard or ring, and have less of a chance of going in except in special circumstances.

Im a bball coach btw, so if you have any questions just ask.

And can you dunk?

yeah, preciate it that tennis ball thing sounds pretty cool

and what i REALLY want right now is some kind of tutorial about how you are SUPPOSED to fucking shoot a jumpshot with video or at least pictures or somethin... i dont have a coach, i'm just trying to work on my game on my own right now, and everybody plays basketball at my school (college) so the intermural leagues and shit are competitive as hell, and i'm gonna play next semester

and shut up about the dunking
lol, im 6'5 and can't fuckin boom it
another thing i need to work on, my leg strength and jumping height... u know any easy ways to improve that? i just need a few more inches and i got it easy
