No.. DO NOT start your own label... That is usually a road to nowhere unless you already have a good backing and loads of money..

Your problem is always gonna be that there are a lot of rappers out there that are exactly like you.. And because of that, these days it aint about talent or skill.. Its about who you know and how much they believe in you as a big time artist.. You have to talk the talk and never act like a fan...

If you really think its your time to blow.. Then build up a demo package with songs that have real big potential for the mainstream market and shop it to the biggest labels you can get it heard by... You prolly wont get on anything big for starters, but as long as you stay working, always elevating and meeting as many people as you can, heaps of opportunitys can come from shit like that.
