If you're undre 18 years old, please step in.
IP:
I've seen countless statements that relate to people's activity on this site if they're over 21. Apparently, many of you have a very warped sense of what life is, or will be once you become 21. So, with that said, let me dispel those myths for you.
#1...Being 21 or older is not OLD. Once you hit 18, you feel like a "grown up". The truth is, you're still in adolescence well into your twenties, as most psychologists would agree. #2...Once you become "grown", life does NOT get easier, it gets harder. However, life also gets BETTER with age because you develop wisdom from experience on how to deal with situations that come your way. #3...It is IMMATURE to argue about how MATURE you are. I know, I know. Everyone wants to be a grown up. But, with age comes more responsibility and adversity. #4...If you are under 18, and have NEVER been on your own, you have NO IDEA what life is like until you have to support yourself for any extended period of time. Enjoy being young and living under the care of your family. It's a blessing. #5...When you are 21 or older, that doesn't necessarily mean ALL ASPECTS of your life will align like the planets in one spectacular fashion. Life is a never ending quest to better yourself and reach your destiny, whatever that might be. #6...Being on a rap site when you're over 21 DOES NOT make you a loser. I can name almost 10 cats on RV who are 21 and older. #7...Please stop saying dumb shit like, "When I'm 20, I won't be on RV." <--Sure, that coming from someone who is 19 and 1/2. pssf #8...When you reach 21, you are not necessarily "grown". #9...Being an adult means coming to terms with your life and your surroundings. The good thing is, if you learn from the past, you can use that to reach higher heights in the future. In other words, being 21 or older doesn't mean you won't make mistakes. #10...If you are under 18 and have never been on your own, you probably haven't suffered much in life. So, please stop with the pity party about how your life--as a middle/upper class teenager--is sooooo tough. Tiz all ![]() Last edited by Tha Q. : 04-20-06 at 06:37 PM. |
