MIDDLEBURG — A Beavertown woman whose boyfriend raped and impregnated her 11-year-old daughter in 2004 has pleaded no contest to child endangerment.

Michelle Snook, 37, is scheduled to be sentenced in Snyder County Court later this summer.

Authorities allege Ms. Snook knowingly placed her daughter in harm's way in 2004 when she allowed her live-in boyfriend, Damon V. Antrim, to be alone with the child even though she was aware of previous inappropriate contact he'd had with a young girl.

Mr. Antrim, 30, sexually assaulted Ms. Snook's daughter in 2004 when he lived with them in McClure. The girl became pregnant and nearly died giving birth in December 2004.

Mr. Antrim, who was also charged with sexually assaulting a cousin of the young girl in 2003 and pleaded no contest, pleaded guilty to raping Ms. Snook's daughter and is now serving up to 25 years in state prison for both crimes.

As part of Ms. Snook's plea agreement, the felony endangering the welfare of a child charge was reduced to a first-degree misdemeanor and carries a maximum five year prison sentence and $1,000 fine.

In exchange for the no-contest plea, she could receive two years probation and no fine when she is sentenced, according to a court document filed July 7.

District Attorney Michael Sholley would not comment on the case until after sentencing.

Ms. Snook, who also has a young son by Mr. Antrim, still has custody of her daughter. She has been free on $25,000 bail since her arrest.

Let someone do some shit like that to one of my kids....and I'D turn into that wacko QUICK.....ppl should do something about this shit man, child molesters get less time in jail then petty drug dealers......their was a soccer coach out here, that got cought molesting kids and got a FINE AND PROBATION...not even ANY jail time...
