KFC did make the announcement today about not using trans fat anymore. But if I remember the television news report on it correctly, they found a way to change the soybean oil they use so there shouldn't be much changes in the taste... only way to know would be to try it once they stop using the partially hydrogenated oil.
The report mentioned that the FDA recommendation for trans fat is 2g a day and a KFC meal had something like 7 times that.
