HOW TO MAKE A CLASSIC ALBUM, checklist

IP: 8BEF 45EF

at this point in my writing, i feel that i can and have lyrically done anything that you can possibly expect out of an artist but i need help organizing it into an album. i have written over 500 songs but this first album will be between 10 and 20 tracks. i've made a checklist but i need to know from other people what they would want out of a classic album. i've made a checklist but i need feedback if i should add or take some thing away so here it goes.

1. have a freeverse intro about the theme of the album.
2. introduce myself and where i'm from.
3. talk about topics from local cuture to political issues to community issues
etc.
4. address any publiciced rumors or beefs that i may have in the media.
5.give my opinion on popular topics.
6. make the listener feel as if they've known me there whole life after hearing this album.
7. give a crazy freeverse cliffhanger outro that'll have people wanting to cop the next album in order to continue the journey of my career.

thats all i have far as a checklist goes but i made this in order to help others who may be wondering what people expect out of a classic and to get feedback and help with my situation. feed please............

all your points seem cool except for 4....has the media publicized anything about you, let alone beef or rumours

also a way you could expand on 5 is introduce your own topics that other people may not have even thought of touching on yet

you really written over 500 songs? damn man thas a lot of songs to write, you working or studying as well?

you don't even need to tell people where you from...that could stir interest about the rapper droppin the album and then you could talk about yourself later

and you shouldn't take the attitude that you feel you have done everything cos that means you won't be motivated to push yourself further and further if ya feel me

thanks man, i only have that attitude because i'm at a point where i've tried so many different lyrical styles and created so many until now i'm just troubleshooting in order to make it flawless. i never really get a lot of bad critisim but i so i guess i'm good but i want to be the best so thats why i like talking to others who feel as though they are the best so that i can improve, cuz sitting around a lot of yes men will get'chu no where.

oh yeah and about the 500. i am 17 years old but i've always listened to mid 90 rap and wrote about topics so as i got older i started working on developing wordplay but i've always been a deep topical rapper. i've been writing since i was 10 and every night i would try and write 2 songs, cuz punchlines and deep lyrics would come in my mind all day at school so when i got home i'd jot it down. i graduated early so i write all day and on here. i guess its all the hunger to be a rap legend plus it kinda makes me mad that DC(a city thats so urban culture driven) has not had any major artist yet. so i wanted to be one of the pioneers. my biggest talent tho is the shock affect that older people get when they see a lil 17 yr. old thinkin' that i'm a say some s*** wayne and bowwow would've said at my age but i come at 'em with the crazy metaphors, wordplay, or deep topics.

plus media doesn't have to be nationwide cuz it can be locally or around the hood, rumors and beefs spread in different ways.

i might get into the ghostwriting game though cuz i fear that by the time that i release all of these, my lyrical talent might elevate even more. so if anybody needs topicals than i'm that dude to call.i dont sing but i also write R&B so if any singers need wirters than hit me up.

thatks for the feedback,
more comments please.........

I feel #1, #6 and #8 should all be "Make Retail Quality Tracks". tracks that are crystal clear and full of life and body liek the ones in my sig.

cuz if you make hot music at shit quality, who's gonna care? you would just fall by the wayside like so many other cats, and why would you give your self anything less than your best opportunity?
