As you know,Ras has spent this year on the run from Priority records and the law,due to his thired DUI.The other day,they announced that Ras may 3 years for his 3rd DUI.Though his defence thinks it is highly unlikely.No matter what,Ras is going to be locked up for at least a year.

"On June 30th, the Court System handed John Austin (Ras Kass) a 3 year sentence to be served in the California State

Penitentiary. He actually has to serve a certain amount based on what "strike" he was handed. If this is a First Strike, he has to only serve 50%

of the handed sentence with 2-4 months already accredited to the sentence because of his time in the Las Vegas and Los Angeles jail systems.

If this is considered a Second Strike, then Ras Kass will have to serve 85% of the handed sentence. Either way, Ras's management is predicting

that Ras Kass will be released around this time in the Summer of 2004."

is what he told me: The time that was reported (by RKC) is not in stone and could very well be lesser time depending on some legal

implications being addressed by his legal staff. So the meaning of the "strikes" have no relevance at the time until he sits down with

his lawyers to find out what the "actual" time served will be, which will most likely be lesser than originally reported"
