this is a poem i wrote today, which corresponds my past/present/future. maybe some high school graduates can connect with me here.

moving on

it seems the skies are passing so fast by the moon
a very frequent reminder that im leaving so soon
time goes by so fast it seems as if i was just born
feels like yesterday when the family came home...
from a country that was war-torn.

browsing through pictures it seems life was full of happiness
nothing but smiles on the day that i was named Chris
born in America by luck, sometimes a soothing feeling inside
making the right decision, a lesson learned from pride.

i know my actions will change my life forever
mom and dad told me it was a change indeed clever
whats in store for me is soon to be found
theres no family anymore, better hold my ground.

life is said to have just begun
im ready to leave, the packing is done
the door is nothing but a few steps away
then there was a feeling of comfort...
from what my mom had to say.

i was welcomed back anytime i please
allowed to jump the backyard fence...
and experience that last feeling of breeze.

being through life, through love, being with the family, knowing the chemistry
there is no way i will let this be a distant memory.
