Albums that are too long..
IP:
Probably a played topic. But still..
Too many albums released that are ridden with fillers. Made to be 17-20+ tracks long to cater for the audience. I dunno, maybe so they feel they get their moneys worth. The art suffers, the album is relatively ruined. Like drinking orange squash with only 1/16 being the orange, rest being water (maybe a bit extreme, but point is there). I appreciate there are those out there that are long, and good all the way through. But that's the thing, it shouldn't be made a common thing. Cos those albums are in or around masterpieces of sorts. Like Masters of the Universe by Binary Star. 24 tracks long, but no fillers. All very good to excellent. So, er, drop your opinions/comments. And list any albums you think were ruined by fillers. You know, being watered down with unecessary tracks. |
