not really becouse the theory goes that we all began from amphibiouse one celled amebas . This would mean that the one just as we evolved into our current state, so did the chicken. It then later evolved into a creature that could give birth through molding its young in the egg shell.

Who cares? Its a trick question. Chickens didnt just pop out of nowhere, they came to be over many years. The chicken couldnt have come first, and the egg couldnt have come first.

And by the way, it's either chicken or it's both. The chicken would have to come first for it to lay the [chicken] egg, unless chickens are born with unfertilized eggs already (and were back then). And the first egg would have the second chicken inside of it. Or the first egg would have the first chicken inside of it.
