Help With recording

Can somebody please tell me how I can have my Beat going, and recording my Rhymes at the same time?

I love battling, but without knowing this...I wont be able to. Somebody please help.

GET A MICROPHONE AND A PROGRAM FOR RECORDING SUCH AS COOL EDIT PRO 1.2A THAT U CAN FIND ON KAZAA.. ONCE U GET THAT .. THAN HOLLA BACK.. FOR DETAILS

Aight you little homo...Just cuz you know what to do...Im a little new to audio battling. I usually do Text. But I just want to know how to get started. Instead of calling me a fucking moron, I would appreciate your help

Stop being a herb.....seriously.....Go to multi-track in cool edit....then right click in track one....click on insert waveform...that is your beat.Then go to track two..click the the "R" square...then when ready to record...click the red circle.Record your verse....intro....or whatever...push the square when done.The if you are doing adlibs...unclickthe "R" in track two....and now click the "R" in track three...and do the same process as track two...only spitting the parts for your adlibs..And the rest is pretty straight foward...When your done with the track...go edit...mixdown file(all waves)...then it will go to single track...and you will have your file.Then it is up to you, if you choose to edit or whatever...you can edit some things prior to mixdown...but it is best if you get the hang of things before you do...Just play around with things...
