you shouldn't always write to a beat cause then the beat controls your rhyme instead of your state of mind controlling the rhyme you should write to what you feel .I.E beat no beat whatever you are feeling at the moment that you write...

the fuck are u talkin bout Twist? u should always write to beats...

if your good, u can spit to any other beat with that same rhyme...thats what i do, speed up or slow down, its not rocket science...always write to beats...if u dont, how are u gonna match up your bars with the drums of a song...u wont have the right tempo, intesity, u wont know when to stop for a hook, when to start...

ya niggas some newbies..

when i write songs that i will actually spit and shit too... then i will use a specific beat, but when i am battling on a key style on this website.. it fucks up the way i think, and i can't come through with thoughtful punchlines and shti like that...

writing to beats helps you flow better, cause you have to stay with the beat, going accopella you fall off on flows alot

you definatly should write to beats. other wise shit dont ryme. if two words dont match up on the same syllable in a line then they do not ryme

WRiting to beats will help you develop a better rhyme scheme, itll take awhile but after a lil youll be able to count the bars on the beat, so you can match up your bars with them.

But after awhile youll be able to flow off your head with out any beat and still hit the same ammount of syllables, first try just writing with ten, then once you can always hit ten with out a beat, or thinking about hiting ten, work on another number.
