Stretching down with might, round the globe without respite
Reckoning sins, rewarding things that follow the light
Shining bright, promoting good, willing people thru the night
Commending right, so giving people something to believe in
Thru grieving, illness, and the bad situations we’re conceiving
Some one to talk to, who’s listen without judging or teasing,
Its Mentally pleasing, so physically relieving, for the religious
Knowing there’s a god watching over, it makes a difference*
But that’s a pittance, to the real power of the vengeful fist
Lying in wake for evil like a blanket of perpetual mist
Engulfing sinners with a longing for redemption and eternal bliss
Without hope, crushing wrongs, with a soul damning blitz
Cos it sits on the arm of the almighty, and named for a reason
Converting heathens, a warning to those peasants thieving
Believing they’ll be cast to the cataclysmic depths of hell
With anger, like a ‘hammer’ striking, ’judging’ a life in jail*
Who can tell next where the wrath will strike, jus where it lands it fell!
