Aight... so i been practising my style and wordplay as well as flow and punch's with alot of people, as well as doing cyphers. but when i throw up a concept in the 'open mic' section that i thought up, people aint liking it..., but thats where i get confused because everyone one ive shown that i know says its completly dope and original, is it because people arn't understandin it? or am i just being miss-lead, i just wanna elevate as much as i can.......
Anyway, heres a few lines.... any feedback would be good. Just holla if you don't get the meanings....

Played???? not in my life have i seen anything resembling wrapping up a women for chirstmas as a concept. i don't understand why people write some sort of verse which to me is too basic and get called 'dope' or good, i can write lines which make perfect since til forever - i just feel that ive passed that stage, and i don't get why people think those lines are wack. Ive never seen anyone even touch that subject.Did you understand it?

^ exactly what freeman said... try taking concepts which are completely new.... rapping/wrapping, christmas, and AIDS are some of the most played concepts in hip-hop.... i suggest you study a good battle rapper like Canibus or Copywrite.... or some of the hall of fame open mics on this site.... dont bite though.
