Perfect And Assonance Rhyming

Can anybody help me what these two parts of rhyming which is important for me to know. I know how to perfect rhyme but why do we have to involve assonance to a bar I'd just like to know that info. I just basically need to know how to rhyme the best way and if there are any rules to rhyming and need it demonstrated or told how to...
