A emcee winning a school talent show?

IP:

well imma try out for the talent show n is gonna make it for sure tomorrow.. but just wondering, is it possible for someone to rap a song in a talent show and win?? because really, its hard to win against amazing singers who are also in it which are who I know... but is it possible to win a talent show just by rapping a song of yours?? Because I don't want to get my hopes up and if you think it would be merely impossible for me to win, i'll just go rap for fun and and give them a small show with out winning in my mind.. so wut??

But u think there still a chance at my skewl where imma be the only rapper where everyone break dances, sings.. and by the way, this is a school most of kids that listen to rap, slow jams, and basicly all hip hop

Well, just don't cuss and they won't DQ you. Best way to win would be to get a club banger and get the crowd going, because for some reason people like an awsome beat, but they don't care bout the words.

like they said, get wit a collab wit a singer, because its hard to get lyrics to impress the whole audience (especially when they arent elevated heads who will get metaphors). the audience usually goes for the best sounds... get a good beat and some raw steps and you could prolly win...

iight thanx..i asked 6 of my friend and 4 out of the six said they would rather listen to a nice smooth beat with emotional lyrics then a club banging beat.. so i guess that means do that!
