Breathe life into me
fill my ears with hollow words
give me some reassurance you won't be there
because i dont believe in promises
or the way you say forever
I prefer memories
the sadder the better
welcoming shadows to encompass
rather than stay behind
and of all the lines you ever uttered
love was the ugliest four letter word
or maybe it was the timing
when your actions spoke louder
for a rose by any other name
will still retain that thorn
to gore the open arms
of those who attempt to embrace
so just taste..my tears
the salty disposition
of watered down dreams
and eventual dissonance

I love this piece, you have an excellent writing style and the emotion just poured out! Concept might have been used before but I feel you managed to make it your own. The vocabulary was at point, imagery was nice with the rose and the torn for instance. I love how you portrayed the sorrow love can cause, the damage lies can form...
