DRINK WITH THE DEVIL

“Let’s make a deal,” he told me
“I know ya pockets hurt.”
But for the work he could conceal the lonely
Put a few bills on me, but I know most of the real be phony
He smiled, “I frown on how you think of me,
Sit down and have a drink with me”
Something told me not to listen
What he’s spitting is not his wisdom
I thought, ‘I’ll pass’
Till he started filling my glass with optimism
He said, “I took you out to dine fancy,
Isn’t the wine fancy? I see ya eyes glancing…
Yea she fine, you can take her…she’s eye candy”
He continued on, telling me my rhymes can be
some of the hottest and I can soar to tip the horizon
He keeps saying I’m hot, all I feel is the temperature rising
“So sign here on the dotted line if you believing my lies…
I mean if you believe you can confide in me”
Together we can rise as high as the heat
The whole room was staring at me with shiesty grins
The most unwelcoming faces, yet seemed to be inviting me in
I signed right with the pen, immediately felt imprisoned in walls
Saw what he filled my glass with wasn’t optimism at all
Blind to the scheming, I had dined with the demons
Choking up as I seen my dreams of music drifted
lifted into the air, twisted and broken up
The bartender was a sinner, customers was a sinner
This hustler was a sinner, the waitress was a sinner
Just a sign that it’s time for me to face the hatred on the inner
So overwhelmed by the harsh, Hell was a mirage
A lesson for those lone cries, the flames was a reflection of my own eyes
Staring into my half empty glass I had to think to myself
Nobody’s here…and I was having a drink with myself

This was a very good piece...I thought it flowed pretty well all the way through...your emotion was good...but to me your imagery is what made this piece very well ....I think overall this was a very good piece and also the twist at the end was very good caught me of guard but didn't hurt your piece...helped it...good job man please RTF on my piece thanks
