To those who don't respect Biggie as a great lyricist (which he was) or as a dope MC

IP:

all I have to say is listen to his 1st and classic LP "READY 2 DIE"

that shit will change your view on rap.

The man rapped about simple things, but they way he did it was intricate. Make no mistake.

I recommend you listen to the track called "Suicidal Thoughts"...that track will send chills down your spine unless you're just a flat-out hater.

RIP BIGGIE

I was talking to someone about Biggie, and he said he'd only heard 3 of his albums. I said "There only are 3", and he was like "Well I've heard Born Again, Life After Death part 1, and Life After Death part 2." I just kinda looked at him in shock after that.

word...peep this

I knew who Biggie was back in 1997. BUt, I had yet to hear Ready 2 die. Until then, all I heard was Hypnotize and I was thinkin "he's alright; but what's all the fuss about?" Then, someone let me borrow Ready 2 Die and I literally listened to that CD 15 times that day...it was fuckin amazing

it jus changed my view on Biggie and from that point on I developed a new rtespect for him..You CAN NOT form an opinion on Big without listenin to Ready 2 die.

^^^That's an ignorant assessment, IMO. Pac and Biggie were beefing so you can't take Pacs word for shit. Biggie, on the other hand, admitted that Pac schooled him in the GAME, not on FLOW/LYRICS.

Also, have you listened to biggie's REEADY 2 DIE LP?

whoa!!!!!... don't get it twisted... before BIG even met PAC he was in Bed-stuy holdin it down... I'm FROM ny and those were my stomping grounds growing up... fuck what ya heard about BIG learning from PAC... stop listening to all that mixtape bullshyt and yes... PAC did lie every now and then... he was a very jealous type of dude who didn't like the spotlight being on anyone but himself... think about it... right before BIG dropped.. PAC was king... then my boy dropped READY TO DIE and made a name for himself almost overnight... even before that he dropped PARTY AND BULLSHYT... which wasn't even on the album... and he got a buzz from that... the track he did with MARY J BLIGE and SUPERCAT was next.... and at that point he still hadn't dropped his own shyt... PAC hated that BIG was the man all of a sudden... Think about how PAC thinks... his mentality says " keep ya friends close...and ya enemies closer" that's how he thinks... he's a strategist.. he studied up on all that shyt... with that being said... now him and BIG are supposed best friends.... all of a sudden!!!! C'mon...man.. let's be real... Truth be told.... BIG don't write his rhymes down... that alone is enough to get anybody vexed if you in da business trying so hard and this dude walks in the studio... smokes a blunt... and makes a hit song just from listening to da beat... get ya facts straight... or at least support them before ya start tearing my man down like that... he is and always will be a legend in hip-hop...

don't get me wrong... i actually do like PAC as an artist.... hell, i put my lil brother on to PAC when he thought he was shyt on BRENDA's GOT A BABY.... i was like "WHAT?!!! that shyt is fire!!!" Then my bro saw JUICE and lost his mind.... right around the same time PAC lost his... both them niggaz really thought they were BISHOP...anyways... i still listen to PAC's music... dude is a legend in his own right... but don't try and take away from BIG's legacy by saying shyt like "PAC taught him everything he knows"... that's bullshyt... BIG been rhyming since he was like 12...waaaaaay before he knew PAC

Word, when I was in elementary school my brother bought Ready 2 Die. I like "Big Poppa", but that's just 'cuz I saw it on MTV lol. I used to think that opinions of Big being one of the greatest was just because he died, 'cuz I really hadn't heard too much from him. Then when I was a freshman, I bought Ready 2 Die and fell in love with it too.

yea

forming an opinion of Big without listening to the entire Ready 2 Die LP is like forming an opinion of Pac based on the posthumous albums Suge puts out.

it's not right.
