This situation is heating up. I don't know if the lack of arrests or punishment is racially motivated, but something is definitely being covered up. If Duke doesn't punish someone, they'll have to deal with Civil Right's activists pretty damn soon.


The brother of the alleged victim said something that really stuck with me during their town hall meeting. He said, "The media has only portrayed my sister as a stripper. They have de-humanized her."

Yeah this been on the Headline News station for like 2 weeks as far as I know... The LaCrosse team is suspicious (how everybody carries on like it's not an issue right now), and then people quick to point the blame on the victim by saying she's a stripper. So what? That don't excuse the email that was sent saying, that one of the guys involved in the incident was going to ask for a black stripper and remove the skin off of her and kill her... what kinda ish is that? After I saw that on Headline News I just turned it off. That don't make no sense that they found an email, but yet they have NOT one person charged yet or a main suspect? That's messed up. It's a racial and rape issue.

I'm mad this one dude says something like they don't know if it was sex with her consent. Come on, you hear about a dude wanting to kill a black chick and think that she'd just lie on the bed and get injuries from too much pleasure?! Just because she a stripper doesn't mean that she want to have sex with everybody on the Lacrosse team. It's crazy and the coach even resigns. What kinda stuff is that? I wonder does he know what happened or is he really protecting his reputation.

Nah son...public opinion has EVERYTHING to do with this case...If Duke or the attorneys for the accused can make the victim out to be a liar, just a greedy "stripper", and unstable, then it damages the credibility of her case. We all know that justice is not blind. It's supposed to be. But, unless someone lives under a rock, the media plays a huge role in the outcomes of trials. I'm saying that with enough pressure, Duke will punish someone. And, Oprah, along with other Civil Right's activists, could really pressure DUke to ante up.

Bringing a Jury like that would be considered "tainted" and would be grounds for a mistrial and add to that, the prosecutino would never let jury selection go down that way.
Public Opinion is irrelevant in cases. Real evidence about someones character comes up in court, not on TV. In court, the "contained" jurors may find out that she's some big-heart who just happens to strip for money for some great reason which nullifies anything the defense could say about her character simply because she strips.

Just cuz she strips her self of her clothes dosen't mean she strips her self of her rights. Dosen't mean she's not a human being.


Public opinion (as in mass opinion) holds no weight at all in court. Look how many people were painted to believe that MJ molested kids since that's the picture they paint in the media, yet he walked a free man due to uncorroborated stories and "beyond a reasonable doubt".

Court's the place where outside opinions really hold no weight. take it from me, I've been to court more times than I can possibly count.
