Anyone here ever done "Slam Poetry"?

Because we're having a Slam Poetry contest at school on June 5th. We just saw a video on it today and it's pretty fuckin ill; picture rap, minus worrying about flow, plus being WAY more abstract, plus acting and minus having to rhyme every bar.
