So while trying to watch Dr. Phil because it was about online dating and I needed to find some more opinions for something I've been a part of for a while, I realized it was instead about disputes over children. I heard quite possibly the best argument I've heard in a while and here's the jist of it...

A guy had gotten a girl pregnant. They started having sex with a condom but ended up not using it. Before they had sex, the guy told the girl that he was not ready to be a father and she reassured him that she was taking birth control pills and also had some other physical thing that didn't make it possible for her to have children. After she said that, he felt comfortable enough to take the condom off, she got pregnant and had the baby.

His argument was that it isn't fair that women have all sorts of choices to pursue if they don't want a kid, (putting the child up for adoption, abortion, leaving the baby at a hospital) but he didn't have ANY say in the matter. He's taking the case to the supreme court I think and I sure as fuck hope they rule in his favor.

Now don't come on some bullshit about how a woman has to go through the pain or some other whiny bullshit, because it was her choice to have unprotected sex as well. Shouldn't men not have to assume responsibility if they do not wish to have a child, considering all fairness?

A lot of women lie about that shit cause they wanna have a kid and trap the guy for security... If cats had any idea how common that is NOT wrapping it wouldnt be a question..

Women are a fucking beutiful thing, but even the best chicks out there can be complete snakes in disguise... Never trust one compleatly unless your unquestionably sure.

And in a lot of cases, yes.. Men who have a kid by a woman should do the responsible thing and make sure that kid gets what he/she needs to the extent of what you can afford to give. Besides, if we choose not to stay with her, its usually her who has her entire life screwed, the least you can do is help ease the shitty circumstances of being a single mother in this day and age...

But the main point in the argument isn't really even about himself, it's about men in general. If a girl had this happen from a guy who said he was sterile and she ended up pregnant, there would be an outrage, but now that it happened to a dude....he's just stupid. In America, girls have all the say over what happens, and that's what he's contesting.

Theres usually a lot more complications than just "oh, go get an abortion or put the kid up for adoption.."

Now I aint saying men shouldnt have more rights, but the system is set up mainly to make it hard for guys who get a chick pregnant to just bail out and leave her with a 18 year commitment..

Even if the bitch is being scandelous......That doesent get rid of the baby thats now alive and has needs... Once you got a kid your gonna realise you really cant just roll solo and not give a fuck about the people around you.....

I know its fucked up, but thats life..... Like I said.......Dont trust people so easily.

I know there are more complications, but admit, the guy really can't do shit if he doesn't want the kid. The girl has the options, not that it's an easy choice and shit, but she has the options. The whole point is that men don't and that's not fair. I'm not saying it should go one way or another, I'm saying the rights should be equal, whether it be that they are obligated to have the kid or if they both have other options open. It's not just THIS situation, what if the girl got pregnant but she didn't want the kid but the guy did, she can just be like "Fuck you, I'm getting an abortion.", feel me? It can go either way, I just want it to be equal.

If the guy doesent want the kid... You realise thats usually fine cause in the majority of cases, he doesent get the kid.. He can rid himself of the chick, go back to single life and give her a percentage of his earnings every so often.. And usually guys find some loophole to not even do that..
