Yeah, but who has Oklahoma beaten? I don't count Baylor as an impressive win. If they beat Texas they should move to #1. It doesn't really matter anyway. If Alabama and Oklahoma both win out they'll both be in the champ match.

ok first off Kentucky isn't a good team. The teams they've beaten have a 8-12 record. And ok, OU hasn't beat any SUPER dope teams, but they beat a Cincinatti team that is 4-0 besides playing OU, and a TCU team who is 5-0 besides playing OU. TCU just won 41-7 today. And besides OU they have avg giving up only 6-7 ppg. Both aren't top tier teams but they are quality opponents. and OU completely dominated both of them.

EVERY game this yr OU has put up 35+ games, and dominated their opponents, and Bradford has looked impressive. So where's the knock on OU? It's not their fault they haven't played a top 5 team yet. All that matters is they played the teams they played, and dominated on both sides of the ball every game. They have outscored their opponents something like 150-3 in the first quarter so far.

Alabama have looked good so far. But today's game was pretty sloppy. Alabama had plenty of chances to put the game away, but Jon Parker couldn't step up and make plays that he should have. They let Kentucky hang in there, then their best defensive player bit on an underneath route and allowed an easy quick score and had to let the game be decided by an onside kick. Those were sloppy mistakes that a #1 team shouldn't make.

And Kentucky is no great team either. The teams they've played, NONE have a winning record and only one is .500. SO Kentucky's 4-0 start is nothing special. Their offense sucked, and defense wasn't too great.

Had it not been for Alabama's good defense early on and getting that fumble ret for a TD they could have easily been the next upset victim.

As of now the voters have done a good job choosing OU #1. and I think this week only strengthened that and has caused Bama #1 supporters to rethink.

i never said Alabama deserved to be #1...i just said they had a much more impressive resume. The only people saying that Alabama should be #1 are people who are not Bama fans. Basically all of us think that OU deserves the #1 spot..they just havent played anyone relevant in the national scene...and Alabama has. 2 of them actually...on the road...and squashed the both of them.

and if you think that OU wont have a game where they struggle this year...then someone is delusional. Can we say Colorado? USC with Oregon State....Florida and Ole Miss. LSU and Miss State. I could go on. The national champions lost to both Kentucky and Arkansas a year ago. It happens.

Every week there is an upset. Every week a team that is not supposed to compete with a top ranked foe...does just that and competes. Bama played their worst game of the season..and still won the game by a margin much greater than what the score showed. And KY was giving up less that 6 points per game...it was 5 point something coming into the game..and they only gave up 10 on D yesterday. And ive seen Kentucky play a couple times..and ive seen TCU play a couple times...if you think TCU's D is even comparable to KY's...no..just...no.

and about Sabans comments..have you ever seen that dude smile? He finds something wrong with everything. He was pissed off after we crushed Georgia. He will get them straight.

and yes, there have been seasons where the national champ didn't struggle at all. What I'm saying, this is talking bout who's #1 NOW. Not in the whole yr. So so far OU has cruised, Alabama has struggled once. And Clemson aren't even playing like a top 10 team so get off about beating them. That was first game of yr, a lot of teams either are overrated in the rankings or underrated. Bama was under, Clemson was over. Clemson aren't that great.

So far OU have looked better. And its not even like Baylor is horrible. They had a QB who is a pretty good up and coming guy. Who's played well their first 4 games. But we shut him down for most part.

Huh? you cant honestly think that TCU's defense is better than Kentuckys. Just take a look at the numbers. Or replay their games online. KY has played a better schedule. Both have played one of the top 2 teams. Upon further review...Kentuckys offense has given up more points than their D...which is completely sad...but sais a ton about their defense.

and like i said..i think OU should be #1..im not making that argument...theres no need to try and back it...theyre better than anyone right now.

and the whole "Clemson is overrated" thing...guess where that came from? How about the opening game in the Georgia Dome? I was positive that that particular game would deflate their entire season. They really shouldnt lose a game on their schedule after Bama. But they will continue to because of all the "underdog national champion contenders" hype they got in the preseason. They felt like anything less than a national championship was a failure..and they have let down after let down after that hope is crushed. Ive seen Bama do it quite a few times. And what season were u watching were the national champions...never at any point in any game ever struggled?..and i do mean in recent history.

^really? Look @ texas. the ONLY close games were to then #4 Ohio St, 25-22, and then to #1 USC.

all the rest were blow outs by 30. And don't give me bs about them needing to blow out those teams. You don't blow out a team that's almost as good as your team. In both those close games they looked strong.

and against teams they were SUPPOSED to beat. they did by 30 or more.
