I can’t imagine being focused enough
to utter a wedding vow

When I walk down memory lane, though,
I remember the pain, so touching, the thoughts come
rushing like a volcano
It’s a bad habit, to still carry that baggage
But her poetry’s deep, she’s “Stillmatic”
If the chance to be with her came back, I’d still grab it
In my thoughts, I lose myself
and that’s kind of why I feel Rabbit
But my road isn’t 8 miles
I can’t see the end of the end of it, through the mist
Never could, but I thought
I could see
who I’d be spending it with
Those days are gone now
That’s my story, and this is my song now
Things fall apart,
and when they fell, I was weak, but I’m strong now
I don’t know how I would take it
if I saw her on the street anytime soon
I’d immediately start singing the beat of any rhyme tune,
‘cuz I’d wouldn’t know what to say,
but I’d know what to think
“Am I dreaming, or is this real life?
I’d close my eyes and blink
And chat with the woman whose influence
can still be seen in me
Still with the memories of my queen in me
But those memories of her were from the past
So if I walked past, I’d say she looked familiar
So how can you love a stranger, you ask?
I don’t know, I answer
Thinking that hard can kill ya.
