'God' Shall Kill Us All....

IP:

Sacred ways of brainwashed masses
Praying to statues of beasts n man
In search of security amid desolate lands
They wail in rituals of frenzied dance

"Sacrifice!" they cry to sinners present
He died for their wrong, slow and unsure
They repent to thieves of innocent bliss
Whilst the good turn blind to see false light

Existence sinks into the sands of time
As Guya rots, laughing in bitter-sweet pain
People wield strength upon hollow ground
Feats of greatness met with horrors of faith..

"Die in name of.." preaches a bearded scholar
Hate breeding ignorance, ignorance unto hate..
Martyrdom achieved, to burning circle's growth
As heaven slowly fades into blood of mortal rain

Guya is Earth as a god (along those lines).

Dunno whether i posted this on here before. Just found it and thought i'd post it on here. I got to sort all my files out, cos i don't put all up here. So i get confused.

*Very nice, great peice*

You realy did a hell of a job on this, complex, yet not a rough read. That is something not easily done, complexity usally leads to a harsh read, but your drop was melodic. Your intellect is on display, and it just jumps out at the reader. Impresive.....

Nice associaton of the planet with deity, that ideology is classic.

Aint on here long. Got a the damn flu, trying to fight it off before it spawns into something major (bastardo!).

Trinity - It wasn't about God as in the way you're thinking (well it is kind of, but overall, no). It's about humanity's 'versions' of god. How they use his name. So it was the humanity, and how (in general) with it shall usually come corruption. If only in the current and past state. Along those lines!

Content - I know what you're saying. But sometimes you got to be a bit more blatant. Though the piece itself didn't exactly mention 'god' killing anyone. And even when it did mention it indirectly, you have to dig to find that. More implicatoins than anything. I'll most definetly be ammending/adding to this. I've only ever finished 2 pieces in my life. And those two are lost, most probably, forever. So yeah, i just go with the flow. Titles are titles, to fit the piece in how the writer wants it to be. Or something like that...(!)..

Once again, all comments appreciated.

^Trinity, you're reading way too much into what i said. I or anyone else wasn't criticising you or putting you down. I just thought i'd make it clear. Sorry if any offence was caused (esepcially if i sounded patronising). And i don't think anyone doubted you read the piece.

I understand why people would get offended by the title. But i still don't think people should (to a large extent). It depends on how comfortable you are with your faith. And if you are prepared to give the title the benefit of the doubt. But it's all good.

Comments appreciated (Word Perfect - You a Binasso?)

Yes, you posted this before. I remember reading it. I think I started going into some pagan or wiccan or jewish or some sort of pre-christian religeon rant for the sake of ranting at one point.

I think I liked it before, I don't remember. (Then again, I also forgot about all those nails I had spilled on my bedroom floor in the morning leaving me with sore feet at night. So... y'know...)

I really loved it! It flowed effortlessly and it was really deep. These lines:
Existence sinks into the sands of time
As Guya rots, laughing in bitter-sweet pain

gave me a really vivid image of someone wasting away at the foot of the statue of an idol.

Amazing read. I'll look out for more.

People shouldn't get stuck on the idol thing too much.

I appreciate the comments.
