I just messed around with Fruity Loops and after like an hour of using it I basically learned tha basics and was able to make an actual hip hop beat...

the program comes wit tutorial loops just take some time to read them dont be lazy and ask people to show u everything i learned myself and it took me longer cuz i didnt bother to read the maual and tutorial stuff.

yo i got flstudio 4,,the way i figured it out.....you got to go to were it says packs...boxed samples,drums etc...go to packs click on it,there it'll give you options like percs,hits,etc..click on were it says hip hop..that'll bring you to hip hop sounding drums,,kicks,snares,high hats,bass,,all that shit....first open you a kick drum in your patteren list,thean put a snare in there,thean a high hat,,set tempo at like 89 95..lay the drums out and fuck with a beat..try this and holla
