The Follower

Camouflage my flanker eludes the truth of a mirage
Like a distant star it grabs a shaft of light and silently spars

My follower lacks substance but remains attached till death
A breathless outline twinned but slept in a separate dimension of guests
Is 'it' a follower?that’s anyones guess, it may be a leader
Guarder of secrets that gives its existence a meaning that’s deeper
An analogue feature contrasted by variant lights take on the creature
Stretching my body to meters squashing and distorting my form
But it wont leave me whatever the storm silently echoing movements dawn
Largely ignored the dark side shuns limelight since I was born
I neglect it like u a victim of scorn but that’s fine it lacks feelings
Punching the lights out leads to it receding in fact its changed allegiance
Blackouts mystic demons? No cos flip the switch and there it'll be
Perhaps multiples of me strangely resemblant on the floor of Discreet
Lights illusion?A parrallel soul?… It could be any of these
A Dark side?Another dimension?…whatever u see
Call me shallow….but to me it's just my shadow
