Turntablism
IP:
Ok, I'v never really stepped up to a pair of decks, but I know quite abit about (cartrdiges, mixers, stylus etc) and all that. But I was wondering what turntable to get?
I was told to get some technics 1200, but imma abit put off at the price, the cheapest price i found for them was £799 ($1,353) If anyone can reccomend some turntables I'll me glad I wanna basically, play records and scratch, but I aint really into mixing. |

man its best to just save the money and get the techs, what you dont want to do is blow your budget on a subpar setup which might only last a little.
if you dont follow this advice, just make sure you buy somthing with a good strong motor, obviously nothing belt driven... if you want to be cheap get stantons or somthing. but like i said, just get techs...even if you can only afford one. You wont need two if you are just starting out, you can always run a turntable-cd player setup through your mixer... then when you actually elevate, get a second table and start beat juggiling and doing all the advanced techniques. peace |

I dont know what you mean by making beats exactly. but pretty much NO.
what you can do is live mixing, beat juggiling so on and so forth. but you cant actually produce from turntables.............................. |

I got the 1200's . . . you WON't be dissapointed . . .
If you plan on bein serious just save up and get the top of the line. If you wanna just mess around, cop some cheap Stantons that will probly skip the record and break in a year . . .
