I guess all of you have heard about the police beating of this 350 pound man. This event has gotten me heated.

They say that he apparently took a swing at one of the officers, so they clubbed him. This would be fine if they just knocked the wind out of him and handcuffed him. But these two officers continue to beat him down for several minutes, and even more officers join in for the stomping. I mean, these officers were using their knight sticks as golf clubs and jabbing him and doing every other possible form of attack a knight stick can offer.

On TV, one guy said the officers were not guilty of excessive force and were just acting in self defense. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't someone who acts in self defense stop attacking once the opponent is on the ground?

This event just sickens me. The man was beaten to death. Sure he had cocaine on him and took a swing at the officer, but once he is restrained, he should not be continued to be beaten. In the video you can see that he takes the swing and gets knocked down immediately and lays there. The officer stands over him for a good amount of time, and then just continues to beat the shit out of him.

Pitiful. I think each and every one of those participating officers deserve to bite the curb and the man's family members can kick their fucking heads in.

I laid out one cop and got beat on for like 5 minutes

i seen this.seen the video on the news.and i think the officers did the right thing.350 pound man took a swing at an officer and wanted to run,becuz he had a good amount of cocaine on him.so another officer had to step in to help his partner,becuz 350 pound man vs. ur average size man,do the math,yeah they beat him down,but the dude kept on FIGHTING,he wouldnt stop swinging,even when they were on the ground,just put urself in the officers position,theres a big ass man trying to kill u,and u have kids,so its either u or him,and that 350 pound guy died becuz he had an enlarge heart,so him struggling with the cops killed him,not the body blows,the man is 350 pounds,not 100 pounds so those body blows wouldnt kill him becuz of all that fat...i dont normally take cops side,becuz i been harrassed so many times,with my frends for nothing,but this time in my eyes they did the right thing..

Fuck that... once you get hit 6-7 times with those fucking clubs you end up on the ground... once your there cops are trained with the know-how to immobilize you without the aid of striking the individual...

Are you kidding me? He isn't swinging while on the ground, he is trying to grab the stick like a child would grab the belt that his parent might be beating him with. It is a natural reaction. When you are getting beat with something, you tend to try and grab that object to prevent it from striking you. Those officers used excessive force. They beat that man to the ground and then continued to beat him. There was nothing screaming "Self defense" in the entire event. Self defense was thrown out the window once the officer hovered over the fallen man and then started to beat the shit out of him again.

and if u NOTICED,none of the cops hit the 350 POUND MAN on the HEAD ONES,not even ONE TIME,if they hit him on the head,now that would be intentional,and it would be a fatal blow.but the cops never hit the man on the head ONES...

cryptic,did u even read,the man was a criminal,had a good amount of cocaine on him,the man REFUSED to be arrested,tried to run,and in the process he tried to take down a cop,cryptic u dumb as hell for saying wat u said,ur weight doesnt have to do with anything,the point is that 350 pound man was a criminal,violated the law....and tried to beat down a cop HIMSELF...period!

If he got hit in the knees by the night stick, say he didn't die from his health condition, he'd be maimed for life.
