Message In The Bottle
I found a message in a bottle... So petal to the metal, pounded my flesh in the throttle Gulp, sip, swallow... Goddamn the taste was great Taste, taste with haste.... now it seems this taste was fate... B4 it was too late my life changed to waste this message spoke to me through ancients sayings of hate n me... I just drank. Man this message kept talking, stalking - blatan, no lie! Soon from anger my children tasted blood... I tasted my pride So I'd run to the basement - my safe haven - n hide I spoke the truth to the message... and drank down the lies, ...looked into the bottle but didn't listen to the sound inside. Went from a full cup of life to a half empty bottle... and this came from half sorrow... and half an empty bottle soon I drank down my aspirations... my life would follow. .................................................. ............................................ I came home n felt the same - alone... glanced at the basement door - King Bud - time to reign in my throne opened the door... and the shot rang ... in my heart in honed. my life, my wife, the abuse, the strife was gone.... alone... She'd had enough, the fuss I guess was too much to handle and as my life bled away, I pulled myself to my mantle and those messages were tough to hear -silence- nuthin, but fear, now this I certainly couldnt condone cuz as the message in the bottle faded, as did my life.... .................................................. .........and I heard my own.
