You know, I'm quite liberal on this issue for many reasons. I think too many kids are having kids, it is really have huge impacts on our society. I myself complelty understand why some do decide to get abortions. I can't say I agree, but nonetheless I do understand. I think the new sweeping legislation in the last two years has done this society good (USA). We now have safe drop area's for weman not wanting thier newborns. No questions asked, you just bring the baby in, and the authorities will take care of it. We just need to increase the education of children on this tremedous irresponsible drain on today's society. I think it should be the very last choice in a slew of alternatives...

There are many good reasons people may consider abortion.
A girl is raped.
Young teenagers. 13 year olds can not raise a child.
Health reasons, - and again, the thirteen year old thing, there will be complications at birth.
And also, if the baby won't come out "right". It may be somewhat shallow, but if anyone here knows a family who has a mentally challenged child? Well, you have a mentally challenged child for the rest of your life unless they die most likely. It can really kill a family, it's hard on them, their life, the rest of their life becomes based around this kid.

Abortion can help many people. For a lot of people a baby isn't the right thing at a certain time. It's not fair for a child to have to go through that either.

It should be a decision for the mother and father to make. Although lots of teenagers get pregnant, and the many of the boys run away from the problem, abortion should still be the absolute last resort. Everyone deserves to have a chance at life. Think of all the happy things you've experienced during your life, and then imagine if those chances to have those moments were taken away from you before you were even born. If they child is mentally deranged, or has serious complications that could damage the mother, then abortion might be an option. But if there is even a glimmer of hope that a child might have a meaningful life, then they should at least be given the chance to live, whether or not they are given away to another family or not.

In the end though, it should be the parents who decide.

oh, relating to abortion: i think the bigger question is, do you believe in God. If you do then the next question is: do you know the facts about abortion. suck as; is the to-be-aborted child human? what makes someone human? Is abortion in this case murder? I think questions like those, are ones that the people replying to this cannot answer. I took a seminar on this once, if my memory serves me correctly the baby's brain IS developing. The arms and legs and everything is developing. The life form is a human one, just extremely small. . blah im not giving my full opinion.
