Comin home from work, I see my daughter’s face, its perfect…
It’s what I live for in the world, after my wife’s car wrecked…
She still doesn’t know, to her, mom is away on a business trip…
What I forgot to tell her was that she only has a one way ticket…
She’s beginning to question now, running out of excuses…
Im not experienced, how the fuck should I do this…
I’m the parent, I lied to my kid, she’ll never forgive me…
But what she doesn’t know cant hurt her, I’m on a lying spree…
She approaches me and asks if I have heard from mom…
“Yeah, umm her flight was canceled” don’t worry, stay calm…(directed at himself)
She sighs and walks away, I cant keep on doing this to her…
But it will hurt her so much, ideas in my mind started to concur…
What if I faked a divorce, maybe terrorists, nah this will never work…
But is it worth a shot, if I fail she’ll no the truth and then she’ll hurt…
All ideas would go wrong, she trusts me, I have to tell her the blatant truth…
Early exposure and she will move on, that’s how minds work in a youth…
No I can’t, she’s not prepared, but will she ever be ready?...
Walking to her room, no more excuses, my pace was steady…
One door away, what to say, second thought’s started to sway…
Give it one more day, or a week, how bout till the end of May…

Asked her to get off the phone, I had some news, *click*, now its time…
Cleared my throat, time to tell the truth, get this burden off my mind…

Light headed, getting dizzy, all was spinning, it became a blur…
Woke up on a bed, in the hospital, thought I was dead…
She was sitting next to me crying, was it something I said?...
Later I found out that the doctors had brought up records and broke the news…

you had a really really good verse....the consistency of it was really good...you stayed on topic well...wordplay was good...vocabulary was top notch...perfect flow and structure...the setup of each line how it repeated 3 times in a row was really hott.. brought more to this topical battle...overall you had a really good drop..

overall: 8.5/10

I think you started off pretty bad...i wasnt feeling the beginning that much...but then you broke through it and created a very good topical verse....i think you stayed on topic a little more than re$tricted did..."she sighs and walked away"...i think that set off the hott part of your verse...from then on it was really consistent good vocab and wordplay...flow was straight...structure was a little off in places...but overall you had a good drop also

Aight, L.I. proved that he is the best topical battler. Restricted impressed me with the two topicals I've seen today, but L.I. was original and had the wordplay. Basically, Restricted dropped a very original piece, but L.I. pulled me in with the story line, both very good spits, L.I. was just a lil' better, that's all I can say. Flow was same on both parts, everything was even more or less, it just came down to who's story was more original, and L.I. edged slightly, one of the best topicals I've EVER seen. Good spits. Vote/ L.I.
