Stricken by the hands of time
Now romance has run out of rhyme
Mother earth help stop the bleeding
What’s been committed? What is the crime?

Fearing Helios and his sun dogs
Critiquing my looks and monologues
Someday I won't run away
From time's mystery and destiny fog

Green with envy of a perfect Earth
Blue again with profligacy’s mirth
Purple passion for the one that I love
Red with anger at father time up above

The wind tonight speaks softly to me
Quaintly stalling my heartfelt misery
Though the future, I know, I can not see
'Cause fearing time makes my eyes bleed

Sundance, longing for a romance
Wishing my past would leave me alone
So my friends will give me one more chance
To make amends with a legend, Capone

Listen to my song of cold fear
Time is chasing me all over here
Boredom, birth, death, and life
Time now threatens sagacity sheer


This poem took me a very long time to write, and I put a lot of thought into it. Thank you for reading, and please reply.
