Cool Edit recording problem...

When I record in cool edit, I unplugged the mic, had my beat in track1 and was recording in track2 and I was wondering why the beat was always loud so I unplugged the mic and recorded, and it was recording the beat??? Anyone have this problem or know how to fix it??

use hedfones insted of using your speakers to hear your beat
and if the beat is loud, jus right click the track and go to volume, and make it lower did that help at all? |

lmao listen to what your saying... "i unplugged the mic and recorded" leave the mic plugged in... and access your recording properties in windows....and switch it to "mic"... bam.. and make sure to have your headphones in...
