i'm a letter sent . i never meant to let you down i contemplated it for hours and hours and ran it through my mind for days and here i am..... with nothing left to say I wish we could have solved it I wish i was the answer to all your problems but you can't talk about a secret if it wasn't yours at the start we are quiet as we go for a ride you take the wheel and you start to get hysterical and we can't stop what we forgot to begin weve walked this road and sung catchy hooks we laid in these fields and waited for a subtle look i waited for you . but you. forgot about the summers best friend. and how it was never going to let you in such malicious intent but what can you expect from friends? nothing more and nothing less i could have made a move for your hand and instead i just let it lay there years from now . i'll write a million songs about the girl i never could get, it will all be correct except for the simple fact i lost her by my own means there looking up at the sky i'm getting sick of this just laying here staring motionless i'll close my eyes and forget
