if he didnt want to, there wouldnt even be any talks about him going anywhere, hed stay on boston no questions asked, and the red sox main trading deadline focus would be AJ Burnett like it should be right now...

basically, the only way out for manny is him requesting to leave...otherwise no team would want to let talent like him go
the only problem with him is his massive contract, teams have fallen appart because of one players contract, just look at texas when rodriguez was on it...not to mention theres only a handfull of teams that could actually pick the damn thing up

hes a great player, period.
sure, if he was in minesota...his RBI numbers would probably be a bit lower, but be real...they wouldnt be halfed
minesota is a good team as well, not the same offense as boston, but a solid offense..
now if he were on say the Royals, his numbers may be dramatically different...(still over 100 RBI's) but going to the Royals is carreer suicide for any player

ortiz isnt overrated
sure hes got the rest of boston to hit in adding to his RBI's...but you know just as well as i do not anybody can come through in the clutch like him...
