Theres a lot of dope text heads around, but I think if you dont do audio theres a lot of aspects of rapping you dont understand.

Theyre two very different things. Text you've gotta worry about structure, stretching your lines, complex wordplay somtimes involving bolds/fonts/colors to tell the reader what the wordplay actually is. Audio you've gotta worry about what beat you're using, quality, flow, how to make wordplay witty, but still understandable without explination, delivery, what to write about over the beat... etc

So when a text head starts talking shit to an audio head, its like a ballerina wanting to dance battle with a breaker.

And I think people that do audio feel superior because its a bit closer to being a genuine MC. Writing lyrics is an important part of rap, but spitting lyrics is more important. We didnt see LL and canibus having a text battle..

Ive never done text, I dont see a point..

I started this rap shit by freestylin, Ive always verbally rapped, thas why I knock on Textcees. 99% of the time, I can tell listenin to an a track from a netcee, if they started by freestyling or texting online. Textcee that turn audio have very little flow cause Text has no flow.. you lose the essence of a good verse in a text verse or whatever cause theres no beat.

Text is whack, I dont do it an I never have.. but I dont care about the people who do, its whatever but to make it worse, yall brag about bein good at it, like it matters offline.

"Yo I beat this nigga in a text battle, dog he is so whack, his structure was completely whack"

If you knew anything about makin a song, you'd know that this staetment is bullshit.

Yeah its text in a sense but the writing style is completely different. Yall focus on structure, makin it look nice, usin fancy words jus to seem smart. Its nothin like writin to song, makin sure it flows, sounds tight, an comes out nicely over the beat.

Most textcees, when they turn to "audio", they sound whack as fuck, flow is off an throw in the gayest words to come across as dope vocab.

because to define a text verse it is basically someone writing down rhymes in order to diss an opponent, how they do it and what they incorporate is up to them but that is the basic definition of a text verse

and the basic definition of an audio verse (and i'm talking about the lyrics) is writing down rhymes to diss an opponent so you can then go on to record it

so without the text as ure basis there is no audio verse, and fuck all these ppl that say yo i freestyle my shit all the time cuz it is a fuckin lie and they know it

An the way I write my lyrics is nothin like a text verse... half of it is freestyled, I put the beat on... let my thoughts run an free over it while recording, then Ill take the shit I like, maybe reword some shit but for the most part it is off the top of my head, no preplanned shit.

When you freestyle day in, day out with your friends for a certain ammount of time, it becomes natural an easy as shit, when your minds clear.

Jus cause your text ass cant put a Dr.Suess rhyme together off the top doesnt mean everyone else cant.
